Licensing of Glaziers
Glaziers do not require a licence in all parts of Australia. They often can obtain accreditation through a state glazing association. If they engage in any kind of construction work, such as the erection of glass fences, they should hold the appropriate licence for that type of activity.
Glazing is defined as any work involving the installation of glass, acrylic and similar materials in a prepared opening such as a window frame or door frame. It also includes structures such as balustrades, fences and other glass or acrylic partitions. A glazier also installs prefabricated windows.
